Looking back to our High school days ,I cannot believe we've been through so much but yet we're still best of friends. We've been friends for more than 7 years and somehow I've never been so close to you as I am now. We've both been through countless breakups (Psychotic Exes included),and we were both each others anchors. In you I have found a friend ,sister ,mom and sometimes I think a soul mate(Chill ...it's platonic). Through the Years, I am most thankful for the laughs we've shared ,the tears, the shades, and stones that have been thrown at us but we've managed to come out stronger.No one understands and knows me better than you do. You're loud ,crazy and unpredictable but most of all you're Kind and I'm lazy , snobbish and difficult to be with but you've managed to see past my stuck up behavior...I cannot wait to grow old with you and tell my Great grandkids about how you've managed to get me out of my hard crabby shell.You've been nothing but a blessing and I don't tell you enough.....Andisiwe ,you've helped me become the woman I am today.It still baffles me how someone so beautiful can have such a huge beautiful heart . I've told you about “my talents”, my thoughts about natural beauty and some of my most embarrassing secrets that only best friends should know about. Blogging, I can only be positive about it and hope you've laughed with me and not at me on some of the things I blogged about.
Honestly if you would've asked me early February this year, what my thoughts were about bloggers, My answer would have been uhmmm...let’s just say I wasn't a fan and I didn't have any respect for them, and the reason why I started all of this, blogging. I had no choice really because it’s for Academic reasons. It’s a new experience but I am glad to say that I am enjoying everything about it.

BUT then I Google searched him, yes...Thank God for Google and then I asked MYSELF, ohhhh this quote though and blog thing won’t I be aiming too high or maybe putting too much pressure on myself? I mean once I publish my post will be available for the entire world to read (that would be when you search for it) .Am I ready for that?
So after feeling nervous it eventually passed, Thomas Jefferson has helped me with my every post. That and the advice of my lecturer, to be consistent. I have tried, I won’t say it has been easy sailing, I've come across some impasses .The only thing that has helped me through those and the scrutinizing eyes, was to accept that I’m new at this and that I’m still growing.I'm a work in progress.

Hey My people,So this morning between having my morning cup of coffee and getting dressed ,I switched on the television set and there it was “Movember”.
The Movember foundation, its a global foundation aimed to change Men’s Health by doing nothing you just groom and trim a Mustache. The foundation encourages men to face their male health issues by going for check ups for Prostate cancer,testicular cancer and other cancers.We all know that prevention is better than cure so why not be part of this Movember movement ? as I call it.
It’s a easy and fun movement but most importantly, it’s the best for your health at least guys.Ladies don’t fear you not left out in the movement ,be a ‘Mo sista’ that is to support and encourage the men in your life.
ladies I know some of us aren't really into (The Hipster trend)guys with beards and all,you think it’s just bushy and filthy but come on its for their health,what could be more important than their health ? Nothing.
Me ? I wouldn't complain, personally I find a man with a beard to be more dominant ,Aggressive, Intense and ummmm very sexy. Okay the hipster/bushy thing not your thing ?, It's okay but think of it this way the beards protect men from UV rays!! That's good right?

My friends are into different things whether in relationships, music,style and now The hat trend.My girls be rocking straight-caps/snap back ,beanies and Brim hats/bucket hats and if I have to say so myself they looking FINE. and Mwah? I’m into beanies baby ,they so effortless you wear any outfit you want and then Viola they’ll make you look cool.

Well it’s exam time so I won't tempt some of you to go to parties ,I’m responsible like that I know.In my Matric we were encouraged to do the study group thing at first I didn't think it was a good idea,me with a bunch of my peers ?not a great idea didn't want to risk irresponsible behavior but as time went on I saw the impact it made and it was helpful after all I did manage through High School and passed My Matric unlike some I didn't buy I've studied hard and earned it.
Study groups have really positive effect ,I mean learning is more like a team thing not a solo race and explaining to others is good learning as it deepens your understanding and improving your thinking skills.
It’s no secret that I can’t sing nor dance but did you know I can't rap too.So I'm sure you asking yourself the same question I've been asking myself ."What can you really do,Viwe?” Is there anything?...Nah hold it right there, I do have some talents just not the usual one’s and no It’s not cooking either ,I’m a hazard in the kitchen.
See the fact that I can’t RAP is a new discovery.No ,don’t judge I really didn't know ,Well I just assumed I can because it sounded so easy.This dawned on me the other day when I put some headphones on and without even realizing I was rapping and so some people stared ,at first I thought Argggg story of my life.Little did I know that I was rapping too loud and apparently not doing a great job judging from the looks people gave me and I’m sure you all wondering about the song right ?It's none other than Dj Khaled -Hold you down.
So this whole madness with me rapping was started by my Friend ,Pinkie.So I‘m not to blame, well not completely she had a hand.Pinkie right,the coolest person I know next to me of course..She free styled the song and made it hers .Typical,Sighs...I’m surrounded by retards.

Sunday ,we all spend Sundays differently it’s either we rest at home ,go to church and some go for some chilled Jazz vibe.

And yours truly had chat with one of the local artists who will be performing “ SOULBI JAZZ.”
1.How did the group come together ?
I met Odwa Nokwali and Bali Zizi at Walter Sisulu University they had already been friends and In July they decided to form the band,they knew of my singing skills so they asked me to join too .We were originally a four man band but Sive Sotobe the fourth guy broke away from the group in January 2014.
2.If you could tell me about some of your performances as Soulbi Jazz
Yanga Ziwele:Soulbi Jazz is a three man band ,We started out in July 2013 and have been performing around East London and our greatest highlights are In December 2013 we were one of the supporting acts in King William’s Town Carnival and this year we Performed at Grahams town Arts Festival.
3.What type of music do you listen to?
Yanga Ziwele :We listen to a lot of jazz and soul ,the likes of Simphiwe Dana ,The Soil and Oliver Mtukudzi who are our inspirations
4.Where can People catch your Performances?
Yanga Ziwele :People can catch us live around East London ,We always keep fans updated on our Facebook page Soulbi Jazz
5.What challenges has been your biggest challenge so far?
Yanga Ziwele: So far, Finances for organizing shows and buying our own equipment .It is very expensive to put together a show we’re all students and it gets difficult at times .Our manager ,Anathi Tiyo always helps us out where we all fall short and also finding time to practice and work on some material ,which is difficult sometimes as we’re busy with school.

My motto is to keep it natural.WHY?Well here’s why I can’t be in the mirror for more than one hour 1.Transforming myself into someone that I won’t even recognize it's just not my style and 2.I’m not a girly girl so simple basic makeup does it for me but my siblings would say it’s because I’m too lazy #chuckles....People don’t get me wrong I may be all for natural but I’d never dare to go without any mascara and some eyeliner, for me those are the two things a girl must always have.That’s why I suddenly became a fan of Nicki Minaj she’s never looked so beautiful,less is really more and No I’m not saying she has mascara and eyeliner on her makeup bag I’m saying the natural look she’s rocking it.
You know we should all be fine with not being drop dead gorgeous It’s okay we should accept it.Besides you may not be basic Candy but you some Eye Candy…It's okay you don’t have to be modest all the time and Of course I know some will say there’s a thin line between being overly confident and arrogant to them " Tough luck" Me,I’m all for blowing my own horn ,Come on now if I don’t blow it who will ??.

Today’s situation in Emonti it's raining,right? and everyone is feeling down and gloomy .So this morning on my way to class I spotted this lovely cheerful person and I caught her taking selfies.Yours truly couldn't resist it so I helped her out.
She was born Beyonce Giselle Knowles whatever name we call her these days I am a huge fan of Beyonce ,Queen B,Mrs Carter or Yonce. She isn't just a pretty face I mean she’s a Singer , Fashion designer and Actress.A triple threat I'd say.
So on the singing part of things she released her fifth studio album last year titled - Beyonce we all loved it lets be Honest and on the album I had a few favorites 1.Drunk in love 2. Xo 3.Pretty Hurts 4.Grown woman but now Flawless, Flawless is a controversial song people are interpreting the song differently w and it has angered a few so I've read.
Flawless, the oxford dictionary defines flawless as Perfect,without any imperfections or blemish or Defect.We are Human beings and we are not without flaws,its impossible for us to be Perfect But one can be truly talented and suited for something that its almost Perfect,Like Beyonce she’s a Born Performer she has great Vocal skills ,killer dance moves and a few that you all know but I haven’t noticed yet. Now going back to the song why I love it, there's this part I like and completely agree with -which is actually a sample from the speech “We should all be feminists”by Nigerian Author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichiewhich goes like this

She’s entering the competition #MissWSU2014 and I’ll be there holding thumbs that she gets crowned as Miss WSU2014.You know, It’s really true you can never judge a book by It’s cover, She has a sweet smile and a good heart but damn that girl is Loco!!! ...Yess people don’t be so shocked I know Spanish, knowing one word does count right ??anyways she’s insane and beautiful too which is why I encouraged her to enter and as much as I’d like it to be it’s not all about my friend it is a Competition and I urge you all to go there you might have a favorite other than the one I have , She or He could win and you wouldn't want to miss out on that.
